Sorry to not have updated!

We've been so busy.

Congratulations to Jake are in order, as he completed his degree and graduated from Trevecca!

We've got caught up on some very large orders and while we still have at least 1 big one, we are a light at the end of the tunnel... Maybe.

But knowing that the Christmas season approaches, we'd like to remind our customers to get their order in as soon as possible.

Next week I will be posting some upcoming changes to Willowproducts and I hope to be posting some videos to unveil my latest DIY project... A casting system that anyone can build that utilizes vacuum, gravity, and vibration to produce bubble free castings with tremendous detail.

Stay tuned !

LUX MUNDI DESIGNS opens for business

From William Paquet:

Those of you who know my work history may find this new venture to be a surprise, but I still hope you will appreciate the art. I am a partner in this company, sculpting the prototypes and handling some other chores required to develop the business. This has been in the works for over a year and now we are ready to launch the site and offer our first item for sale.

Whether or not the subject is of interest to you personally, I hope you will consider passing the link along to anyone you know who might find it appealing. As a company we will be focusing on creating art across a wide spectrum of ideas, some far afield from what you see here. So I hope you keep us bookmarked and check in from time to time.

Many thanks,

William

Armature tutorial !

Here is a fantastic tutorial on making an armature by Linda Smith.

She makes them for her polyclay one-of-a-kind originals, but you could easily coat them in wax, model waxes over them. And they could be reused of course!

Be sure to explore her site... she's an awesome artist!

closed from now until August 2nd

Well it's come that time where a short break is necessary...

The WillowProducts/Tinkerage shop will be closed from now until August 2nd.

Don't worry... all orders currently placed will be mailed out BEFORE the shut down.

It will add at least 1 week wait to new orders until we get caught up after August 3rd. You can still place your orders online and that will ensure you get on our list... which will be processed as quickly as we can during the first couple of weeks in August.

Thanks for helping us recover and take a much needed physical, mental, and spiritual break from the daily grind!

Exclusive distributor now in Japan

For our customers in Japan, we are pleased to let you know that after several months of work, we have established an exclusive distributor for our products there in Japan.

A distributor to work with inside your own country offers several benefits :

1) Because distributors agree to buy in large quantity, we can provide our product at our lowest pricing possible. While the distributor does have to markup the price to cover his cost for shipping, taxes, Customs duties, etc. , and a modest profit, the overall cost to the customer will should be close to what it would  cost to send low quantites such a distance, as you'll see below.

2) The larger purchase allows for the lowest cost of shipping. An
extreme example : If an overseas customer wanted 1 pound of wax (12-
$14), then the cost of shipping would add another $12. This means that it
would cost at least $24 to get 1 pound of wax delivered and take
around 2-3 weeks for delivery.

3) Having a local source to buy from is convient and can cut the
time to receive product from 3 weeks down to as little as 3 days.
