Back up and running...kinda

There's a bit of a backlog, but we're back to mixing wax. Two friends have died in last 4 days... that and a backlog makes the leadtime for wax about 1 week. Our charity golf tournament raised about $9,000 net.

Spirits were dampened by the loss of a fellow Lion, former co-worker, and a charter member of our Lions club, John Parsons. We knew that he'd demand that we get on with the tournament without him and we did our best. He'll be sorely missed at our meetings and our projects. He leaves behind sons Rick and Ernie ( also a stellar Lion ) and daughter Becky and her husband Doug ( another great Lion ), grand-kids and great-grandkids too many to name.

A long time friend and once fellow karate student, Adrian Neal, 29 died leaving 2 beautiful daughters behind. While we'll be concerned for their loss, I know their dad, Jake, their step-mom, Becca, and their grand-parents will take care of the girls well. On a lighter note.....I think it's now deserved, be sure to visit Jake's website: http://www.thetinkerage.net/

Time for a drink.... just to toast family and friends that mean so much... if you're as lucky, do the same....even if it's just grapejuice. As for me, locally made, Prichard's Sweet Lucie Bourbon Rum sounds like a winner. We got J. Daniel only 12 miles away. George Dickel 8 miles away. But Prichards is almost 30 miles! I'd move closer if it wasn't such a pain!
