I just wanted to say "THANKS" to all those who tested 3Sixty (360) for me and of course for the kind words and photos as well.The website has been updated and I'm now taking orders for 360.
In fact, I'm swamped... no complaints, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm filling the orders in the order recieved and I'm already about 1 week behind "normal" ! Please be patient as we work to get caught up.
Also, for any of you testers who might have noticed small brown flecks in the test product....
I sent out 3 full pots to testers . Apparently 1 of them had a filter failure that let contaminates out in the final product. We believe that we've got this solved now with a change in procedures and a change in the filter material. Filtering is always an important aspect, but a problematic one. The filter has to catch "bad things" but be open enough to let melted wax flow through. And the human eye can see particles as small as 40 microns. But a 40 micron filter won't pass melted wax product... it's just too fine.
Please don't anyone suggest pantyhose... it'll work for about 1 pound, but not for a production pot. The new filter material is used for high end aquariums and is pitched after each batch. A little more costly, but I don't care... as long as it works, which it appears to do quite nicely. We'll be inspecting as always, but one can never inspect quality into a product !
